SUMMARY:Building Sustainable Systems of Support
DESCRIPTION:RIPRC is hosting this virtual training with content presented by John Crocker (https://masmhc.org/contact/). This session will focus on enhancing the sustainability of the systems and supports developed by prevention specialists. Drivers of sustainability will be discussed across a variety of topics relevant to prevention specialists\, including assessing the needs of the population they serve\, providing training and prevention programming\, collecting and using programmatic data\, and developing a strong coalition. Strategies to foster sustainability will also focus on managing the logistics of prevention programming\, including developing clear implementation plans\, documenting efforts\, integrating activities into systems and processes of the organizations served\, and fostering processes that improve replication of efforts. Attendees will have the opportunity to share best practices that have fostered sustainability across a variety of topics relevant to their roles. \nLearning Objectives:  \nBy the end of this session\, participants will: \n\nUnderstand how sustainability is defined for their role.\nUnderstand the drivers of sustainability and how to apply those drivers to increase sustainable practice.\nShare best practices to foster sustainability across topics relevant to the role of the prevention specialist.\n\nPlease reach out to riprc@jsi.org if you are interested in registering.

SUMMARY:Project CLEAR: National Study Recruitment Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Stanford University’s REACH Lab is actively recruiting 60 middle and high schools\, nationwide\, to participate in Project CLEAR — a major new study evaluating our evidence-based Smart Talk: Cannabis Prevention & Awareness Curriculum for grades 6–12. \nParticipating schools will receive: \n\nFree access\, and comprehensive staff training/support\, for the Smart Talk curriculum (English & Spanish)\nUp to $2\,000 in school/educator stipends\nStudent incentives for survey participation\nFree registration for all staff to Stanford REACH Lab’s national prevention conference for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years (the two years of the study)\n\nSchools will either begin using Smart Talk in 2026–27 or continue their current programming for one year before receiving Smart Talk the following year — every participating school receives the curriculum. \nEmail Scott at sgerbert@stanford.edu for more information or register for the upcoming webinar here. \n  \n  \n
