A Discussion of Opiate Overdose Prevention: Saving Lives with Narcan

Program Objectives:
- To raise awareness about the opiate epidemic and Narcan as a potential life-saving solution
- To explain the history of Narcan, discuss its importance, and identity  who can carry and administer it
- To offer innovative approaches to making Narcan available to those who need it
- To demonstrate how to administer Narcan effectively
Panelists:
Our diverse panelists include a police chief, substance abuse treatment professional, medical provider, and a survivor. Each panelist will share a unique perspective about the value of Narcan and strategies for effective distribution.
Target Audience:
Members of the general public, substance use treatment providers, medical providers, police makers, legislators, and recovering and not-yet-recovering persons.
