Certification Course for Clinical Supervisions

So you’ve either been promoted to a supervisor position, or want to become a clinical supervisor, or you just want to have a refresher course to keep your skills current. This 30-hour course fulfills the training requirements for either credentialing or re-credentialing supervisors in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery settings in RI and provides you advanced knowledge and skills in supervision. Based upon the 2004 edition of David Powell’s book” Clinical Supervision in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling” and TIP 52: Clinical Supervision and Professional Development of the Substance Abuse Counselor [our course text — participants will receive a copy], this course Presents guidelines for clinical supervision in the substance abuse treatment field. The course covers supervision methods and models, cultural competence, ethical and legal issues, and performance monitoring. The course totals 30 contact hours and introduces clinical supervisors, along with persons preparing to become supervisors, to the knowledge and skills essential to the practice of supervision.
This is a 5 day class with a $300 registration fee.
