Jan 01, 1970 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
So you’ve either been promoted to a supervisor position or want to become a clinical supervisor or you just want to have a refresher course to keep your skills current. This 30-hour course fulfills the training requirements for both credentialing or re-credentialing in RI and provides you advanced knowledge and skills in supervision. Based upon the 2004 edition of David Powell’s book” Clinical Supervision in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling” and TIP #52 [our course text — participants will receive a copy], this course covers models of supervision, the new blended model, problem-solving, working with difficult staff (i.e., the resistant counselor), gate keeping functions in supervision, supervisory ethical issues, how to be a leader in the field, and contemplative models of counseling.
