DFAA Program Webinar Series: Environmental Prevention is Sustainable Prevention
Jan 01, 1970 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
Much of prevention is focused on individual attitudes, beliefs, behaviors and skills. Yet individuals do not make their choices in a vacuum. Effective prevention must also focus on community norms, access and availability, media messages, and policy and enforcement. Environmental prevention can be difficult to communicate to community leaders and stakeholders. And it can be difficult to get buy-in for these important prevention strategies. Yet environmental prevention strategies have the most long-term, sustainable results.
