Ethics for Prevention Specialists
Jan 01, 1970 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
Many times people who work in prevention are confronted with ethical dilemmas and are not aware that there is an established code of ethics for prevention professionals to guide their decisions as professionals. Using guidelines established by the IC&RC, the international body that certifies prevention professionals, this workshop will explore ethical principles and issues of confidentiality that apply specifically to persons working in this field. Small and large group discussions and didactic presentations will provide participants with a better understanding of the role ethics plays in prevention. This workshop will not address ethical issues for treatment providers.
