With increased competition for financial resources, it is vital that nonprofit organizations craft proposals that are both polished and compelling. In this introduction to grant research and writing, grant expert Suzanne Alden, MSA will take both new and veteran grantwriters through the proposal process from start to finish. Participants will learn the steps for researching government and private grant sources, connecting with potential grant funders, developing your "pitch" and message, identifying program goals, plans, and outcomes, and crafting a program budget. The seminar will provide opportunities for hands-on practice with brief exercises in an interactive setting. This class will lay the foundation for successful grantwriting - and boosted confidence! - with a better understanding of the grant process.
