Motivational Interviewing, Intensive

Motivational Interviewing is a CBT based skill designed to assist clients with a variety of issues and life problems. Clients frequently present in behavioral health settings with other co-morbid disorders such as mental health or substance abuse. Many of our clients are mandated or involuntary and MI is an evidence based practice designed to assist behavioral change utilizing a strengths based perspective. Videos will be used to demonstrate MI skills. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their MI skills by participating in interactive exercises. MI skills training are beneficial for both professional and paraprofessional service providers. As this is an advanced level training, participants must have had prior MI training.
Time: 9am – 4pm
