Psychiatric Medications for Non-Prescribers
Jan 01, 1970 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
The goal of this course is to review with behavioral health clinicians the challenges, goals and risks of psychopharmacologic treatment in a pediatric patient. The Medical Faculty of Bradley Hospital will highlight the current clinical understanding of several of the common classes of medications used with children, the role of medications in the broader treatment plan for various diagnoses, and the challenges that remain in this ever evolving field. At the end of the course behavioral health clinicians should feel more comfortable in assessing the effects and side effects of various medications in the children they treat and have reasonable expectations as to the potential impact of psychiatric medication treatment in several common clinical presentations.
