As the popularity of electronic cigarettes skyrockets, many communities have been increasingly concerned about the appeal of these products to minors, and about the potential risk to public health posed by e-cigarette use in places otherwise required to be smokefree, such as schools, hospitals, workplaces, etc.
E-cigarettes, e-hookah, vape pens, and other electronic smoking devices continue to expand at the point of sale (POS), in both availability and marketing. These products are largely unregulated, presenting a challenge and an opportunity in POS tobacco control efforts.
