Jan 01, 1970 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

** This is a 3 day course to be held weekly: December 1, 8 & 15, 2015 **

Wham is a holistic, prevention education program designed by Larry Fricks, Ike Powell, and Peggy Swarbrick. It is sponsored by the SAMHSA/HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions and the National Council for Behavioral Health. The scientific basis of WHAM rests upon stress management research done by the Benson/Henry Institute and the Massachusetts General Hospital. It is a response to the 2006 NASMHPD medical study that indicated that persons living with severe and persistent mental health challenges die 25 years sooner than the general population from preventable illnesses. Participation in WHAM is voluntary. Like WRAP, it is available to both individuals served and FHR employees with the permission of their supervisor.
