Youth Development 101

In this training, participants will explore the concepts of the youth development approach. The training will be interactive and include activities, role-play, and discussions. Topics will include: creating strong youth-adult partnerships and communication and relationship building with youth. The participants will build skills to better involve young people in youth leadership opportunities.
Participants completing this training will be able to:
1) Define the youth development approach.
2) Identify elements of youth culture.
3) Assess opportunities for leadership in youth programs.
