SUMMARY:Affirmative Care for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming People
DESCRIPTION:This training will focus on providing affirmative care for transgender and gender non-conforming people. Emphasis will be placed on affirming LGBTQ people through effective communication\, learning to address implicit bias towards LGBTQ patients and best practices for a transgender-affirming environment. Through the use of discussions and case scenarios\, information on maintaining a respectful workplace culture\, identifying and addressing implicit bias related to our LGBTQ patients\, and identifying organizational strategies for creating a trans-affirming environment will be addressed. \nFor more information and to register\, click here.
