SUMMARY:(Webinar): Difficult to Engage Clients: Overcoming Resistance with Motivational Interviewing
DESCRIPTION:This training is being offered by:  The Opioid Treatment Program Health Home Initiative with support from The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI \nThis training provides an overview of client engagement styles as well as resistance to change. The ‘Stages of Changes’ are explored and defined with behavioral examples. Use of the Evidence Based Practice of Motivational Interviewing is outlined as an approach to change management. The attendees will have an opportunity to practice ‘Change Talk’ with several scenarios. Discussion of application to community based care and outpatient settings will be conducted in the wrap-up. \nPlease Note: A pre-test is required to be taken before the training. In order to receive a training certificate\, each participant must complete a post-test\, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.  Instructions will be provided to the email address that you register with.
