SUMMARY:(Webinar): Understanding and Applying 42CFR Part 2\, HIPAA and other Relevant Confidentiality Statues in an Era of Healthcare Reform
DESCRIPTION:This training is being offered by: The Department of Behavioral Healthcare\, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals\, and The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI \nThis training will provide participants with a detailed review of 42 CFR Part 2\, and a summative overview of HIPAA and other relevant State and Federal confidentiality statutes and healthcare reporting/ data sharing mandates; with a special focus on the legal and ethical reconciliation of these various laws and regulations. This workshop will also include a discussion of the changes in existing privacy practices that have emerged and will continue to evolve given the two recently published revisions to 42 CFR Part 2. \nPlease Note: A pre-test is required to be taken before the training.
