SUMMARY:Medication-Assisted Treatment
DESCRIPTION:This course will introduce the participant to the history of medication-assisted treatment in the United States\, and will provide and overview of the three medications currently FDA approved for the treatment of opioid use disorder. This training will also include a discussion of the changes in the laws regarding the treatment of opioid use disorder\, and the implications for the treatment system. \nContinuing Education Credits: \nSocial Worker CEUs: This training has been approved for 6.0 National Association of Social Workers continuing education credits. \nChemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 6.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate). \nRegister here.
