SUMMARY:Mechanics of Addiction Counseling: Individualized Treatment Planning
DESCRIPTION:This three day presentation (November 3rd-5th) will focus on individualizing treatment using ASAM criteria to assist in determining appropriate levels of care. Counseling theories will be reviewed along with related techniques. It will address customizing treatment to specific populations and incorporating treatment goals in the clients own words. Medication assisted treatment will be discussed along with working with individuals with co-occurring disorders. The training will conclude with a review of the process of continued care planning\, care management\, and referrals. Community resources\, consultation\, and clinician self-care will also be topics of discussion. \nContinuing Education Credits: \nSocial Worker CEUs: Determination of 18.0 National Association of Social Workers continuing education credits are pending. \nChemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 18.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate). \nMental Health Counselors CEUs:Determination of 18.0 RI Mental Health Counselors Association continuing education credits are pending. \nRegister here.
