DESCRIPTION:If you are someone who is presently struggling with how best to assist a loved one experiencing challenges with substance abuse or mental health concerns\, A Welcoming Place is for you. \nAll too often shame and stigma hinder the process of supporting those dealing with substance use. A Welcoming Place is a new group that is intended to provide; friendship\, resources and an opportunity to share. Drug addiction and substance use has a powerful impact on families\, friends and the community. With this said\, A Welcoming Place is an additional tool in the kit. It offers an island of respite for caring friends and family. \nA Welcoming Place takes place at St. Luke’s Church in East Greenwich. All are welcome.
