Risk-Management in Behavioral Health: Ethical and Legal Perspectives

December 5, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$60

THIS ADVANCED TRAINING IS DESIGNED FOR AGENCY ADMINISTRATORS, SENIOR MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISORS, AND CLINICAL DIRECTORS.

The delivery of behavioral health services comes with risk; inevitably, practitioners encounter challenging ethical dilemmas that require sound judgment in order to protect clients and service providers. Common ethical issues involve managing sensitive confidential information, informed consent, conflicts of interest, boundary issues, termination of services, staffers’ use of social media, and documentation, among others. Senior administrators and clinical supervisors in the field of behavioral health must be proactive in their efforts to protect clients and prevent litigation and licensing board complaints.  Robert Landau, JD and Frederic Reamer, Ph.D. have teamed up for this special training and will share their expertise related to practical risk-management strategies in behavioral health.

Presenters:
