A Report on the State of Youth Violence in Rhode Island: Enhancing State Capacity to Address Child and Adolescent Health through Violence Prevention and the Child and Adolescent Violence Prevention Advisory Committee

This paper takes a public health approach to youth violence prevention, identifying 7 prevention priority areas, which include homicide, suicide, self-inflicted injury/ suicide attempt, sexual assault, teen dating violence, physical violence, and school violence.
In the event of a mental health or substance use crisis, call to connect with a licensed counselor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bilingual support and medications to assist with recovery are available.
