Michelle became one of the first Recovery Coaches in the State of Rhode Island in 2012. Being a person with lived- experience herself, she has trained hundreds of prospective recovery coaches and peer recovery specialists throughout the years. In 2013, she facilitated the first Recovery Coach Academy. “Being an elder in the recovery community, training allows me the unique experience of paving the way for those entering the field”. In 2022 she started her own non-profit, Harter Recovery Consulting, with a focus on coaching coaches and offering training for seasoned coaches in more advanced subjects of recovery and advocacy. Welcome Michelle!
