The PTTC is introducing a three-session virtual series Unpacking the SBIRT Model in Substance Use Prevention, designed to provide additional support to increase the provider’s capacity to deliver SBIRT in practice. The Art of Engagement is the second of three sessions in this series.

According to research, one in three people see little need for preventive care and have low interest in health education. These dynamics are associated with poor patient/client and program outcomes. This interactive discussion will focus on core principles of person-centered and recovery-oriented communication to engage individuals in a safe and positive atmosphere.
