This Guide was designed as a basic reference for municipal and Regional Prevention Task
Force coordinators, members and staff, especially those who may be new to the RI
prevention system. The purpose of the Guide is to provide an overview of the Task Forces’
mission, structure and functioning, and key activities, all within the context of the Rhode
Island behavioral health system.
The Guide was developed by the Rhode Island Prevention Resource Center (RIPRC) with
guidance from BHDDH.
