A Fresh Look at the Strategic Prevention Framework: Community-Centered Prevention in Action Session 1: Rethinking Assessment

May 22 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

This training from PTTC aims to reimagine the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) as an ecosystem—one that’s adaptive and constantly evolving with the needs and culture of the community.

This is part 1 of a webinar series which invites prevention practitioners and partners to explore the SPF through this lens, focusing in on key skills in each step and grounding our discussion in real-life contexts.

Part 1 Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the SPF process as one that cultivates a dynamic and interdependent web of community relationships and adapts to changing community environments
  • Introduce key attributes of Step 1 of the Strategic Prevention Framework, Assessment.
  • Reframe prevention assessment as a relational practice that integrates data from traditional and innovative sources to understand local assets, challenges, and patterns.
