A Welcoming Place

September 11, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

If you are someone who is presently struggling with how best to assist a loved one experiencing challenges with substance abuse or mental health concerns, A Welcoming Place is for you.

All too often shame and stigma hinder the process of supporting those dealing with substance use. A Welcoming Place is a new group that is intended to provide; friendship, resources and an opportunity to share. Drug addiction and substance use has a powerful impact on families, friends and the community. With this said, A Welcoming Place is an additional tool in the kit. It offers an island of respite for caring friends and family.

A Welcoming Place takes place at St. Luke’s Church in East Greenwich. All are welcome. If you desire additional information regarding this unique initiative please feel free to contact: Bob Houghtaling at 401-230-2246 or rhoughtaling2@verizon.net or Christine King at 401-595-4809 or cking@interfaithri.org.

A Welcoming Place is sponsored by the East Greenwich Drug Program and The Interfaith Counseling Center. Hope to see you in August.
