Adopting a strong public health-focused commercial tobacco retail licensing ordinance is only a first step.  The next step is effective enforcement.  All local retailers engaged in the sale of commercial tobacco products need to be informed of the ordinance’s requirements and educated about the timeline and importance of complying with all related local, state, and federal laws.  This 30-minute webinar will provide an overview of best practices for the enforcement of tobacco retail licensing regulations, drawing upon requirements in law, as well as Public Health Law Center’s experience working with public health advocates across the country.
