Clinicians FREE Training Opportunity: City of Providence

Good afternoon, everyone,

The City of Providence and the Mayor’s Coalition on Behavioral Health, with funding from the RI Department of Behavioral Healthcare Development Disabilities and Hospitals are excited to offer a free opportunity to become certified in AFFIRM Adult, an evidence-based training designed for clinicians working with LGBTQ+ young adults (ages 18-25) and older. Spots are limited, so don’t wait to register!

Training Details

•  Format: Interactive Zoom sessions over three days
•  Dates: December 2nd, 3rd and 4th from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
•  Cost: FREE ($649+ value), with continuing education credits available
•  Capacity: 18 participants
•  Included: Certificate of completion, fillable manuals, workbooks, and additional resources

Led by expert Affirmative Research trainers, this 5.5-hour-per-day workshop covers affirmative CBT skills to help LGBTQ+ clients manage mood, enhance coping, and reduce substance use.
