Ignition Interlock

The Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association (RIPCA) and the Impaired Driving Engagement Council (IDEC) are coordinating a training on Rhode Island ignition Interlock laws that will include the following:
- A presentation and hands-on demonstration of the “Intoxalock”
- ignition interlock system
- A presentation on Rhode Island’s Ignition Interlock law, (31-27-2.8)
- A presentation by the RI Division of Motor Vehicles to include how
- hardship and/or Interlock restrictions are added to a motorist’s
- driver’s license
