Description: Young people are a crucial part of any movement for social change. Youth have a long-term stake in community well-being and are vital contributing members of their communities. Youth participation in your coalition work is essential. Learn how to recruit and retain young people in your coalition, as well as how to keep them engaged over time. Reflect on ways to increase youth participation and leadership in your coalition work and learn best practices on maximizing adult-youth partnerships.

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to:

  2. Discuss examples of youth leadership in coalition work.
  3. Identify best practices for including more youth voice and choice in their work.
