This presentation will provide an introduction to the variety of clinical presentations of eating disorders, related diagnostic updates, and appropriate assessments, as illustrated through case presentations. Topics will include emerging science in the eating disorders field, medical implications of eating disorders, and evidence-based treatment approaches for adolescents with eating disorders, focusing on Family Based Treatment (FBT). Throughout the presentation, the roles in a multidisciplinary team will be emphasized, including a collaborative care approach. The presentation will conclude with a panel discussion and plenty of time for questions and answers. I-clicker technology will be utilized for attendee surveys, and handouts will be provided of the slides, references, and resource links for attendees.
