Meaghan is a senior services case manager with East Bay Community Action Program. She advocates for clients’ rights and ensures access to appropriate resources and support systems. In challenging situations, she is skilled in providing crisis intervention and emotional support to her clients. Certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid.

In this workshop, participants will recognize the potential risk factors and warning signs for a range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety/trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse disorders & self-injury. The training will also review action plans, review the latest data on various mental health disorders, and explore resources available.

At the end of this webinar participants should be able to:

1. Use an action plan to help an individual in crisis, connect with appropriate help.
2. Interpret the prevalence of various mental health disorders in the U.S. and the need for reduced negative attitudes in the community.
3. Apply knowledge of the appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help resources available to help someone with a mental health problem treat and manage the problem & achieve recovery.
