Training will provide an overview of the Shifting Models of Care from the ‘Traditional Medical Model’ to Person Centered & Recovery Oriented Care. Special emphasis on client’s choices and empowering clients to become competent in managing one’s illness in partnership with the treatment team. Recovery concepts will be explored as a process of change to include 4 dimensions – Health, Home, Purpose & Community. The emerging Best Practices such as the Tidal Model will be discussed in depth. Desired Client Outcomes includes: improved quality of life, satisfaction with clinical services & Improved or stabilized overall health status. 2 CEUs are available.
