SUMHLC Training: Understanding Substance Use Disorders: Addictions 101

The Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals with support from the Opioid Treatment Health Home Initiative
This training will provide the participants with a definition of Addiction as defined by the DSM-5. The training will provide the various reasons why people may be vulnerable to a substance use disorder as well as an understanding of changes in the brain.

Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by The RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
