The Opioid Crisis: Supporting Women & Families

April 11, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

$50

In the midst of a national and statewide opioid crisis, women and children are among those most directly impacted. Women have unique needs which are positively impacted by early intervention in the addictive process and increased connections to community based treatment and healthy recovery supports. This full day conference will provide in depth information regarding this population as well as explore opportunities to improve health outcomes though targeted interventions and strategies. Expert presenters will explore treatment outcomes while navigating barriers specific to women with substance use disorders including the use of medication assisted treatment. Through a strength based lens, workshops will identify ways to support women through pregnancy and the birth experience, increase dialogues around reproductive health, and fully integrate recovery supports within the treatment continuum.

6 CECs will be available.
