Participants will, as a Community of Practice, take a deeper dive on sustainability, exploring the key components used to sustain Rhode Island’s prevention outcomes and share successes and solutions to overcome sustainability challenges encountered by coalitions.

Part 1: Sustainability: Building on Strategies & Outcomes
In Part 1 of this webinar series, RI Regional Task Force Coordinators and PFS Coordinators will discuss the sustainability of substance abuse prevention efforts in Rhode Island, identify successes and challenges encountered, and explore processes to plan for sustaining outcomes with coalition staff and partners.
Participant objectives for this webinar are:

– Recognize three components of sustainability: sustaining strategies and programs, sustaining outcomes, and sustaining processes.
– Use a process to identify what strategies and activities are leading to successful outcomes
– Use provided tools to begin sustainability planning within their community

Part 2: Community of Practice: Sustainability
In Part 2 of this Community of Practice series, RI Regional Task Force Coordinators and PFS Coordinators will come together to reflect on current efforts, successes and barriers to sustaining prevention efforts, and share successes, and identify solutions to challenges faced maintaining sustainability processes and outcomes to address behavioral health issues in Rhode Island.
Participant objectives for this webinar are:

– Identify potential challenges to sustainability
– Identify potential solutions to suitability challenges
– Identify three next steps for sustainability planning
