(Webinar): What Every Healthcare Professional Needs to Know About Claims Reimbursement

Who should take this course: Health care professionals, support staff who work in the healthcare setting, medical billing staff.

The world of health care and the payment of health services has become a maze of confusion for the patient and health care professionals. Today, medical bills are the number one reason why American’s are filing bankruptcy. Health care professionals each year are often providing services for free as a patient’s health insurance company refuses to pay them.

This course will address the claims process and what office staff and clinicians need to do to ensure behavioral health services rendered are paid for. The course will review the “front end” steps that need to be taken by either staff or the clinician before a service is rendered.

The course will also cover the clinical review process and why a clinical review by a payor is triggered. The course will a review what payors look for in their medical record documentation should a payor request them for either billing purposes or for. Strategies will be discussed on how to challenge insurance companies successfully if they are not paying claims.

Please Note: A pre-test is required to be taken before the training. In order to receive a training certificate, each participant must complete a post-test, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.  Instructions will be provided to the email address that you register with.
