According to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, children who are bullied experience significant suffering that can interfere with their social and emotional development, as well as school performance. Rhode Island (RI) data show that students who were bullied were at much higher risk for violence, mental health issues, and drug abuse.
