Mental Health First Aid Course

Mental Health First Aid , 2016
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.  The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it builds mental health literacy, helping the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness.  Operated by the National Council for Behavioral Health in partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Mental Health First Aid USA has an important goal for 2016:  Make it a priority to train 1 Million First Aiders in the U.S.
