The Roundtable on Obesity Solutions presents a perspective series about disparities and inequities in physical activity. Within in the larger dialog about the role that physical activity has in the prevention and treatment of overweight and obesity, these perspective pieces are intended provide a foundation for thoughtful discussions around important differences and considerations regarding physical activity in diverse populations. Authors discuss what is important to know about physical activity in 6 populations. Are there barriers to accessing opportunities for physical activity among certain communities? Are there things that are working for members of special populations ? Are there things that need to be better understood about physical activity opportunities in specific groups by the larger public?
