Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) works to improve the quality and availability of substance abuse prevention, alcohol and drug addiction treatment, and mental health services.  SAMHSA provides leadership and devotes its resources- programs, policies, information and data, contracts and grants toward helping the nation act on the knowledge that: behavioral health is essential for health, prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover from mental and substance use disorders.

In the event of a mental health or substance use crisis, call to connect with a licensed counselor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bilingual support and medications to assist with recovery are available.
