Who Is At Risk For Drowning
Drowning is a leading cause of death for all children. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, for every child who dies from drowning, another five receive emergency department care for non-fatal submersion injuries. Children 1 to 4 years old have the highest drowning rates and are most at-risk.
